How to access the controller:

Remove the lower battery mount cover by unscrewing the two screws circled in picture:

Remove cover by gently grasping the cover by the battery connection points:

There will be a little resistance after pulling the battery mount cover out of the way, stop pulling the cover, and instead pull the wiring from the middle of the wiring to avoid damaging connections.

Pull the thicker wiring gently out of the frame (wires are marked with arrows), pulling from a safe point that does not affect plug connections (circled)

As the wiring is pulled gently out of the frame, the controller will start to come out along with the wiring:

Once the controller is removed, begin unplugging connections, matching them to the connections to the new controller, and plugging them in to the new controller as you unplug from the old controller.
